2025-W44

Last week started off hectic. On Friday night, I stayed up until 2 am while my partner and his friend were packing for his bachelor trip and subsequently, woke up at 3:30 am to drop them off at JFK and drive back home to the Bronx. I was unnaturally alert (as if I had 5 cups of coffee). Adding to the events, my friends were coming over that evening for a Halloween party. Thankfully, my friends arrive late and compensate by staying up all night long. So I napped.

The Halloween party in the evening was enriching. Pizza was going to be the main course and I decided to make an easy pumpkin soup as an appetizer. I also made Tzatziki from leftover yogurt. It was a diverse menu but my friends enjoyed it. We stayed at home until 11:30 pm and decided to head out to bars in Manhattan. The bar was disappointing and I was glad to come back home, finally at 3:30 am

Sunday was a lazy day again for me. I slept all day and did minor chores around the house.

On Wednesday, my friends had a monthly planning and reflection session. We separately filled out this template and optionally presented our struggles and goals. The session was motivating and social. It was helpful to become aware of the constraints to set realistic goals for November.

Work-wise, the weal was productive. I'm trying to pair more often with my colleagues because I learn so much from every session. In one of the sessions, my colleague used Claude Code to complete an entire task that I was procrastinating on.

I meal prepped on Tuesday. I'm still eating the same food.

I went to a haunted house on Friday. The most scary thing about it was the price. Oh, and the walk back home at 1:45 am.

I move-out/move-in cleaned the kitchen on Saturday. And on Sunday, I went to a coffee shop and finished many small admin tasks that I was putting off.

I also changed some things in this blog -- changed the "Now" page, and changed the list formatting in the "Notebook" section to excite myself about restarting a writing practice.
